Long Xing Chinese Restaurant Armação de Pêra Photo Review

To date, the best Chinese food we have enjoyed in the Algarve has been at Long Xing restaurant in Armacao de Pera.

​We first ate here with friends who were in town for a couple days. They ate here on their first night and loved it so much they wanted to come back the next day when we were together. 

We trusted their judgement and have been back several times since. Here's what we've enjoyed at Long Xing Chinese Restaurant in the Algarve.

Appetizers

Won Ton Soup - 2.25 €

I'm a big wonton soup fan in the US. For a couple bucks you get a huge plastic container of warm, salty, comforting broth with wontons. I couldn't pass up the chance to try won ton soup at Restaurante Chines Long Xing.

This is no American-Chinese fast food wonton soup. This is legit. From the moment it arrived to the table and the sesame oil aroma reached my nostrils I was a happy camper.

Spring Roll - 1.95€

Next up, if you usually get a "fried egg roll" at your local American Chinese joint, you will want to order the "spring roll" at Long Xing.

Yes, the looks may remind you of a hot pocket.. or a deep fried poptart (if that was a thing) but man oh man will you enjoy this.

The dumplings at Chines Long Xing are spectacularly delicious and you could easily order this as your main and do a happy dance all the way through.

Chicken Fried Noodles - 6,95€

If you're looking for "Lo Mein" on the menu, then you're gonna wanna order the Chicken Fried Noodles (or the Beef Fried Noodles).

The glistening noodles you've come to know and love will greet you like a familiar friend you are seeing for the first time in too long.

A mix of quality chicken cuts together with vegetables including some unique mushrooms make this a satisfying dish!

Someone else ordered this dish and I don't remember which dish it was or how much it cost, but it does look pretty tasty doesn't it?

Side of Fried Rice 1,95€

A side of fried rice, nothing to write home about (although I guess technically I am writing home about it...) You will notice, however, that the fried rice is not brown and soy sauce-tinged like in the States.

Restaurante Chinês Long Xing. ​

We really enjoy Restaurante Chines Long Xing in Armacao de Pera. We have been there several times and every time we had a good meal. We always ate in person, no take out. It's a very reasonably priced place to eat in the algarve!
