Gelatelli Choco COokie Ice Cream Sandwich Nutrition Information

Americans in Portugal will notice a difference in Nutrition Information on packaging in Europe.

​Typically there is always a column showing the nutritional information for 100 grams worth of the item. Sometimes there is a second column showing the nutrition facts for a single serving of the item next to it. 

I guess the idea is to make it easy to compare how nutritious two items are to one another - 100g of ice cream sandwich vs 100g of bbq chicken wings, for example.

A closer look at the Chocolate Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich

​Judging by the Choco Cookie box, this looks to be vanilla ice cream with some tiny chocolate chips sandwiched between two chocolate cookies with white chocolate chips.

​Do you think the cookie photo on the box is an accurate representation of the ice cream sandwich in real life? Personally, I think in real life it looks even better than on the box and that's rare for advertising!

Stay Cool In Portugal With Ice Cream Sandwiches From Lidl Grocery Store!

At the side view, you can see that this cookie ice cream sandwich has some nice heft to it! And sure enough, there are those little chocolate specks all around. 

After taking a bite, I'd say they put forth special effort to ensure the outside has plenty of chocolate pieces whereas there are not nearly as many inside.  Nevertheless, what did we think of these cookie ice cream sandwiches?

​Is this the best ice cream sandwich in portugal?

​I had relatively low expectations for these  ice cream sandwiches  only because novelty ice creams usually sound like a great idea, but after you eat them they are kind of ... meh. 
​

So I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the Gelatelli Choco Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches! The ice cream itself was just okay, but the two chocolate cookies making the "bun" of this sweet treat sandwich were really the stars of the show! 

Good cookies are hard to come by in Portugal (American style cookies), and I actually thought these frozen cookies were legitimately good. Idk if I will lose credibility for saying that, but I stand by it! :)

This is the best ice cream sandwich I have had so far at Lidl and I wouldn't hesitate to grab a box if you're an ice cream sandwich kinda person. Remember, it's for your health. ;)
