Before sailing on our favorite cruise ship yet, we found ourselves with a few days in Miami. Miami isn't necessarily the cheapest city to eat in when you're on a shoestring budget so we made great use of TooGoodToGo and Happy Hour Menus to enjoy some of the culinary offerings without completely breaking the bank. Enter El Primo.  El Primo Red Taco in Miami El Primo Red Tacos is located at 179 E Flagler St in Miami, Florida. A short walk from where we stayed at the Hyatt Regency. Check out the Hyatt Regency Miami Review Here The pick-up window was between 9:30 and 9:45 pm. The restaurant was clearly empty by that point and you can see they offer plenty of seating both inside and outside. How much is a Margarita in Miami? Well, at El Primo Red Tacos they are serving $6 margaritas and cerveza (beer) all day, every day! what we got.We ordered 2x Surprise bags from El Primo Red Tacos at $5.99 each. Each container had 2 tacos, topped with cilantro and a fresh radish slice as well as some tortilla chips, salsa, and a lime wedge. We were also surprised to receive agua de horchata x 2! What we Thought.It had been such a long time since we had tacos period, that I was so happy to eat these tacos! Even after carrying them back to the hotel they were still so tasty. Small corn tortillas are my favorite and home made tortilla chips can't be beat! The tacos at El Primo Red Tacos are birria and the only problem that I had with them was I wanted more. lol

Rei do Churrasco is a classic Portuguese Churrasco (barbecue/grill restaurant) in Quarteira - a beach town in Southern Portugal's Algarve.
Learn Portuguese: Rei do Churrasco means King of the Barbecue :) PSA to Americans, note that when we are talking barbecue in this context, we are not talking about grilled meats lathered in thick sweet, spicy, tangy sauces, we are focused on the grilling cooking method.

We used the food waste prevention app Too Good To Go to get takeaway frango piri-piri (portuguese style grilled chicken with spicy piri-piri peppers). TooGoodToGo is a great way to save money whether you live in Portugal or are traveling to Portugal (and elsewhere!) as restaurants will list their leftovers at a discounted rate. |

2x frango piri piri lunch with fries - €4.99
Using the Too Good To Go App in Portugal, we got 2 servings of piri piri chicken and fries for about 5 euros. This was essentially a whole chicken and lots of fries! It was a great value and we enjoyed a nice walk from Vilamoura to pick up this lunch!
Rei do Churrasco Review
A take-away review is rarely a full and fair review of a restaurant, but seeing as we enjoyed our takeaway, it's safe to say we would happily return to Rei do Churrasco in Quarteira - particularly to try their Madeiran specialities!

Our toogoodtogo hussel bag contained a package of 8 truffles, a package of 6 milk chocolate fish, and 250 grams of Baiser-Eier Bunte Schaumzucker-Eier. They are sort of like a large jelly bean, but inside is a not quite marshmallow, foamy sugar center.

Tip: If your pastries are past prime, try sticking them in the oven for a bit. It's surprising, but depending on the pastry type, it can make a huge difference!

The pequeno-almoço (breakfast) box from the Vila Galé Marina Hotel was a cake sized box filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, mini hotdogs, assorted rolls, cheese, ham, and a couple of sweet pastries. It was so much food we ate a breakfast meal from it, later took sandwiches to the beach with the rolls/ham/cheese, and still had more bacon left which we sliced finely and fried as toppings for soups salads and other meals the following days!
Tip: There are two Vila Galé Hotels in very close proximity. Be aware that the Vila Galé at the walkway to the beach is not the Marina location. Also, when you do go to the Marina location, we went to the desks where you typically check in to the hotel and they knew right away about the box "Caixa" (ky-shuh).

Mourapão is a great restaurant and bakery located in Vilamoura near the marina. Absolutely worth a visit at full price and if you're around when a toogoodtogo box is available, don't hesitate!
