Simply go to the counter, request the most delicious flavor available, and when you scan your Sea Pass the premium gelato will ring up as $0, as the perk has been loaded on to your card. Yay!

Is there free ice cream and gelato on board?

To be clear, yes there are! You can find free gelato every day in the main dining room, in Oceanview Cafe, and soft serve at Scoops and Mast Grill.

This free scoop of gelato captain's club perk is for the premium offerings that are normally an extra charge, for instance at Cafe Al Bacio & Gelateria.

Porthole Veranda Room Tour | Cabin 7105 Apex

Our clients were able to enter their room by 11:45am and it was completely ready!

When you think of a "porthole", you probably think of a tiny window from cruise ships of the distant past and that can make this category of balcony on Celebrity a bit confusing.

As you can see, it is a unique balcony style, and the "porthole" is huge!

Some staterooms have the bed near the veranda (balcony) and others have the living area (couch) nearest the veranda.

In stateroom 7105 on Celebrity Apex, you can see the bed is nearest to the veranda. You can opt to have 2 twin sized beds, or as shown below, 1 queen sized bed.

The veranda features 2 chairs and a table, which you can have a glimpse at in the background of this photo.

Our clients received a Celebrity tote bag in their room on embarkation which was a nice touch. ;)

The bathroom is light and bright with thoughtful storage touches, an elongated counter, and an oversized sink where you can even do a bit of laundry if you need to - here are some tips on how to do laundry on a cruise ship.

No sticky shower curtains here! A glass capsule shower lets in light and actually leaves you room to maneuver. :p

Shampoo and shower gel are waiting for you in the shower.

Generally, I recommend bringing your preferred shampoo or at the very least conditioner with you on a cruise.

★ Try these shampoo bars and conditioner bars - no TSA worries here!

You can also ask your room steward and sometimes they can give you a tiny bottle of conditioner. That was my experience on a Royal Caribbean cruise anyways.

What time are rooms ready on Celebrity Cruises?

Typically your room will be fully ready by 1 or 2 pm.

If you have left luggage with the porters, it can arrive later into the evening, so be sure to keep some essentials with you, or do what we do and bring our favorite luggage with you!

What if my stateroom isn't ready yet?

Don't worry! You can drop off your luggage and go enjoy the ship hands free!

Your hard-working stateroom attendant will finish making your room perfect and when you come back everything will be waiting for you. :)
