Black Anchor Tavira Review + Menu: Guiness + Pub Food On The Water

One of our first nights in Tavira we walked across the river to the Black Anchor - an Irish Bar and Grill right along the waterfront.

We love fish and chips (we have a whole Fish & Chips category on our site!) so we had to give the Black Anchor's a try.

​The cost was 13.50 euro. At the current exchange rate, that's just shy of $16.

It was late in the evening and we were sitting outside (gotta love that al fresco dining weather even at 9 or 10 pm), so the pictures aren't the greatest, but hey, it's something! :)

​Black Anchor Review

Our first visit to The Black Anchor was with a large group and in fact, so was our second visit. That always takes on a different dynamic than when you go expressly to enjoy the meal. Even still, I was quite happy with this battered, fried fish!

Black Anchor has indoor pub seating as well as two seperate outdoor spaces, making it a great option to make memories with friends in Tavira. They have live music to enjoy and a solid fish and chips offering! 
​

It's great to know where you can get Fish and Chips in the Algarve, not to mention a legit Guinness.  Looking forward to someday trying their traditional Sunday roast.
